Triple Layered Buzz & Bumble

Another take on the Buzz & Bumble Workshop on the Go Kit. Using masking and the Triple Layered Stamping technique, this card is super simple to make. The triple layering brings your eye right to the center, where I used a heat embossed sentiment from the set.

Even with all the stamped flowers, the sentiment needed something. I used 3 of the breath-taking coordinating embellishments, and added a Hemp Bow. How gorgeous with all the matching colors!
Flowers stamped in Cocoa ink, bees stamped in Champagne, the edges of the B&T distressed, and four Durables Artisan Studs finish the card.

Blowin' In The Wind

There was a lovely breeze yesterday, while I was working out in the garden. Spring in Florida is so inspiring. This card is my impression of a day like yesterday.

Picture yourself...your daughter, your grandchild, your mother, standing outdoors, all dressed up in a sweet little blouse, the bow dancing as the breeze catches it.

To create this blouse card, I used a paper weaving technique as the buttoned lapel.
This adorable paper is from the  Chantilly Paper Pack
I used the other side of the paper to make the tiny woven strip behind the buttons.

The white "lace" was created using the Cricut Art Philosophy Collection.
Notice how the cardstock and B&T paper, along with the ink I used on the lace, match perfectly. That's because CTMH creates everything to work together!

I distressed the edges of the Buttercup and Cotton Candy cardstock (which are included in the paper pack), allowing the white core of the paper to frame the card. The "blouse" B&T was crumpled and then distessed to give the appearance of cloth.

Finally, the ribbon was attached in several spots with adhesive, them melted a bit with my heat tool to give a time-worn vintage feel...one of my favorite techniques.

I hope you enjoyed this bit of inspiration. Mother's Day or any day will be
especially memorable when that special someone receives a card handmade by you!

For Always Buzz and Bumble

Happy Spring!
This card was colored using Prisamcolor Pencils and Low Odor Mineral Spirits.  I teach a series on this coloring technique, so if you love the look, and live near me, you might enjoy taking the classes.

Mixing it up a bit, instead of using the Buzz & Bumble Workshop Set (C1549) with the Buzz & Bumble Paper Pack (X7164B), I used Buzz & Bumble stamps with the For Always Paper Pack (X7165B).
I used White cardstock for my base card. The strip across the top background is the "zip strip" from one of the B&T papers (that's short for Background & Texture paper). I used the sentiment from
For a Friend Occasions (D1542) and curved the polymer stamp onto the
My Acrylix Block to add a bit of whimsy.

The Masking Technique was used to make the flower spray. Masking is one of the techniques
I teach in my free Stamping Basics class.
I also cut out a few blossoms and attached them with 3-D Foam Tape (Z1151).
The edges of these flowers are sponged with Lagoon Ink, which perfectly matches the card stock in the paper pack I used.

The black flourishes are cut with CTMH's Art Philosophy Cricut Collection (Z1686). They have been coated with Liquid Glass (Z679) so they look shiny and crisp.

I love this stamp set. Don't be surprised if you see it again!
